Pros and cons of iSpeak Russian - Translator app for iPhone and iPad

iSpeak Russian - Translator app good for

Ive used this app for several years now. Ive used it when Im in Ukraine to buy things or use taxis and I have used it here lots to communicate with those there. Text amount is limited but so are all others Ive used. This one Ive actually had compliments cause they think I know how to write in Russian. There are times though the translation is very vague. The last I-Phone update though now 3 letters and it closes. No use at all
5 stars !!! This update works perfect on IOS 4. Very nice upgrade to interface as well.
iSpeak Russian version 2.1 has a reasonably good digital Russian female voice. It is a lot better than the very robotic sounding voice you get with google translate. When I slow down the speech, the digital voice quality rapidly deteriorates and I can tell that it is a digital fabrication. Sort of like the pixelation you get when you blow up a digital picture. Using my Radio Shack amplified speaker instead of earphones, the speaker quickly saturates as I turn up the volume slightly past audible. So, the speaker will not be very useful with a lot of ambient noise ( like crowds or car traffic ). Considering the technology used to fabricate the voice, these problems may be difficult to overcome. So far, this app satisfies my need for a reasonable pronunciation of Russian text. It appears to get the stress on the correct syllables and to pronounce the syllables correctly. This has always been difficult for me since there are many nuances to Russian pronunciation that the beginner is not often aware. Also, realize that the translate function comes from google translate which will require a WiFi internet connection.
Well there is nothing more to say except great job. I have been looking for an app like this for a long time. I have three of these and love them. They work the best for the tuff words on homework you dont know;)

Some bad moments

How its possible to traslate from russian if the app dont show the russian keyboard for to write russian word ? The app is using only for to traslate from english.
I have used this app for some time and it has been pretty good. Now it crashes as soon as I start to use it.
You guys need to fix your apps. I have several from you guys and I can not use them because they keep closing after I open them. Please update them to work with iOS 10 !!! Very very upset !
They need to fix this app. After iOS 10.0.2 update it crashes after typing a few letters. I found I can work around this by typing into a different app then copy and paste the text into iSpeak. But thats cumbersome. I reported this bug to their support email but never heard back from them. Nothing on their website about them working on it. Im bummed because I paid for this app, am traveling next week but cant use it.
Translations work fine but will not save and no access to menus.
I bought this app thinking that it would provide on-the-fly translations with a spoken voice, as some of the other apps I use will do. Being that I use an iPod touch for my platform sometimes a network connection is not available. Had I known this up front my money would not be wasted.
